Elevator Maintenance Contractor Responsibilities

The associated elevator contractor and/or maintenance provider shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: (any associated costs for the following are not included in this quotation)

• Securing cab for installation by shutting elevator down to engage rope grip and install rail bugs

• Weighing cabs prior to commencement of any modernization (as required)

• Adding weight to the car top (as required)

• Adding weight to the counter weight (as required)

• Removal, re-installation and adjustment of doors (as required)

• Balancing & re-commissioning

• Providing proper authorities (TSSA) with all necessary documentation and design submittals

• Ensuring that all associated weights are acceptable

• Scheduling for and completing all necessary testing and inspections with the proper authorities for the jurisdiction of installation

Governing law

This contract is governed by the laws of Canada and such other laws which are applicable in the country where the consumers are resident.

Delivery charges

For deliveries within the US and Canada freight and duties if applicable are included provided order is shipped on MAD Elevator Inc’s designated carrier.

For deliveries outside of Canada and US, you are responsible for all charges including freight and applicable taxes and duties.

Quotes

Due to the fluctuation in raw material costs and other variables, all quotes are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue, after which all are subject to requote.

Pricing

Prices online are exclusive of delivery charges. Prices are subject to change without notice.​ Please note: Prices vary between end user and contractor pricing

Project Cancellation

Any project cancelled after creation of drawings is subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Should the project be re-initiated at a future date, this fee will be credited against the project at that time.

Projects placed on HOLD

Any project placed on hold for longer than 6 months will be considered cancelled and a cancellation fee will apply.  At project re-initiation, fee will be credited against project at that time.
